Why We’re Here
Mike and his best friend, Coco, grew up together on Weatherstone Circle in Houston, Texas. During family trips in the summer and winter, Coco would stay at her favorite pet hotel — a place where Mike knew she’d be safe, happy, and well cared for. Today, Coco lives in San Diego with Mike’s parents, whose love for travel is made possible by the peace of mind their trusted pet hotel provides.
Before founding Weatherstone Capital Partners, Mike was a consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he specialized in pet care and pet services, advising companies like Mars Petcare, Chewy.com, and Royal Canin. He later led growth at Block Renovation, an early-stage consumer tech startup, gaining hands-on experience in building teams and scaling operations. He also founded ParkDay, a direct-to-consumer picnic rental business in New York City, to help people stay connected and foster community during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mike holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin’s Cockrell School of Engineering.
